Glamour & Beauty Sessions
Do you have a beautiful portrait of yourself? If you are like most women the answer is probably no. Many women don't like they way they look in photographs, and so they tend to hide from the camera. Perceived body imperfections, real or not, make women think they aren't beautiful. Family and career commitments can leave a woman feeling less than glamorous. And of course there’s always that extra weight that everyone thinks they need to lose first. In the end, many women don’t exist in photos.
I want you to exist in photos. For yourself, and for the people that love you.
My glamour sessions are fashion inspired and are designed for for the everyday woman. Women of all ages, shapes, and sizes. No super models here, just regular women! My sessions are designed to bring out your own unique beauty, to make you feel special, and to create the most beautiful portrait you have ever seen of yourself.

I have now had two sessions with Lorraine and I can't sing her praises enough! My first shoot with her was to create photos as part of my wedding gift to my husband; a pre-bridal shoot. I was overjoyed at all the images! Lorraine is so creative and wonderful to work with. She made me feel so comfortable and we had a lot of fun shooting in various dresses! My 2nd shoot with Mortensen Photography was more recent and I also loved it! As an opera singer I am always needing to update my photos and Lorraine knows just what to say to help capture the perfect images! Lorraine has a wonderful gift for putting you at ease. Her warmth is genuine, and you'll feel like an old friend or even a member of the family moments after stepping into her studio. Her sense of humour makes it easy to pop a smile, and she can somehow drag a sultry pose and smokey look even out of a graceless rookie. I had portraits done that made me feel lovely. It sounds so simple, but it really is magical. The day spent in the studio was fun and re-energizing. I highly recommend the experience Mortensen Photography has to offer.

Glamour & Beauty Portrait Session Pricing
Glamour & Beauty Sessions are $150 and include:
Styling & Planning Appointment: To create your portraits we will start with a Styling & Planning Appointment. At this appointment we will talk about the style of portraits you would like, and discuss your choice of location or background, your wardrobe, as well as hair styling & makeup options, and how to prepare for your session. Your Styling & Planning Appointment is a great way for us to plan everything out and it’s a great chance for us to get to know each other and will help you feel more relaxed and comfortable on the day of your photo shoot.
Photo Shoot: I'll do my best to make you feel comfortable in front of the camera and will be guiding you through the entire photo shoot so you don't have to worry about what to do. I will direct you through a variety of poses that are designed to make you look your very best! It’s a lot of fun and you’ll feel like a model for the day!
Portrait Reveal & Ordering Appointment: Your session fee does not include any digital images or printed portraits, so about 2 -3 weeks after your photo shoot we will meet again for your Portrait Reveal & Ordering Appointment. This is when you will see the best images from your session and purchase the ones that you love. I offer digital images, portrait collections, and a variety or printed portraits. Optional Add-Ons: Professional Hair & Makeup:
Professional hairstyling and makeup are optional, but most of my clients do take advantage of these services. To see as sample of my makeup artist and hair stylist’s work please visit my “Before & After” gallery.
Hairstyling - wash and style $50 updos start at $85
Professional Makeup - $100
*In Studio sessions are available Thursday through Saturday starting at 9:00 am only.
*Outdoor sessions are available Monday through Saturday. Session times start between 4 - 8 pm depending on the season.
*GST is extra.
