Gillian, Abigael, & Isobel - Sisters Session

I've photographed these three sisters with their family a few years ago, and they are family friends, so I was glad to have them come back for a sister session.  Gillian is 15, Abigael is 13, and Isobel is 9, and all three of them are beauties!!

Since it was just the girls, and we were indoors, we were able to play around and try a few different looks.  I especially wanted to use my pink backdrop and create a very feminine look with flower crowns.

When booking a session with me you have the option of adding on professional makeup. I make it optional because I do a lot of sessions for teens, tweens, and children, and they don't always need makeup.  But today we wanted to play around so we started the day by doing hair and makeup with everyone, which was fun!   Gillian did her own makeup, with some direction from me.  Abigael has long beautiful hair so we gave her a nice soft curl, and a little bit of makeup. Isobel is under 13 so we didn't apply much makeup on her, just some pink lipgloss and mascara, plus we gave a bit of curl to her hair.

The girls also used a few of my studio clothing items so that we could get that feminine look. Abigael was super excited to wear my studio tutu, and all the girls wanted to wear my flower crowns, so the first look we did had a very feminine, boho feel.

Next we went with a another soft feminine but more casual look.  The girls brought their own jeans, but they are wearing a few of my lacy studio tops.  These images also look gorgeous in black and white.

Finally, we tried a darker, more dramatic look, and turned on the fan so the girls felt like super models!

We all had a great time at this session, and created some beautiful images.  I know these girls will remember this day and have some beautiful keepsake portraits of all three of them together.

Do your daughters have portraits together?  Do you have portraits with your sisters? Get in touch with me and lets talk about how I can photograph you.

I'm so excited to share these images with you!!  This beautiful little girl is Bryn, and these images of her were taken way back in the early 2000's.  This was back in the days when I used to do portraits of babies and children.  I was just getting started on my own as a portrait photographer and this little lady was my favorite model.  I actually photographed her, and her brother, several times over the years, but these are my favorite images of her.  They were shot on black and white film and the prints were sepia toned and hand colored.  These are scanned from the original photos, so the quality here isn't super great, but you get the idea.  And check out those eyelashes!!

I also used to babysit Bryn, and I have some very cute video of her and my daughter all curled up together on my couch, wrapped in blankets, watching Telletubbies. Oh my, how the time has flown by!! Now this cute little girl has grown into a beautiful young woman, and I just photographed her high school graduation portraits!!   I can't wait to share those with you as well, so check back soon.

Beautiful Bella - Children's Portraits

As part of a mother daughter session I take plenty of individual portraits of each person as well.   These are some of the portraits I took of six year old Bella.  Not only is she beautiful,  she's totally comfortable in front of the camera,  and she had most gorgeous wardrobe I've ever seen!!   She is the proud owner of some authentic "princess" gowns that were worn by real princesses in Saudi Arabia. Apparently, Saudi princesses are only allowed to wear a gown once, and after that they are sold.   Bella's grandmother lives in Saudi and was able to purchase these gowns for her granddaughter for a really great price.  What a lucky little girl!

Her mother also wanted some portraits of Bella wearing her wedding gown, so we dressed her up in the gown and the veil as well.  So, Bella got to model all of these gorgeous gowns for me, and we got some amazing portraits of her.  And it was just in time too.  A couple days after her session she lost both of her front teeth!!

Not only do I offer mother daughter portraits, but I also offer portraits of girls age 6 and up.  My portraits are posed, so a girl has to be old enough to take direction from me, but I make it fun and enjoyable.  I really love working with kids this age....they are just so naturally beautiful!  Don't let this time of your daughters life pass by without having a special portrait made.  It won't be long and all her baby teeth will be gone!

Belinda - Family Portraits

This family came to see me recently to take advantage of my Fall Family Mini-Session special.   These two adorable twins are six years old and full of energy!  I had them running and they had me running too, which wasn't a bad thing because it was a chilly day.  But even though it was cold we still had lots of fun at the session, got some great family photos,  and ended it with some nice chocolate chip cookies.

I'm still taking bookings for Christmas Card Mini-Sessions until the end of November, but you'll need to dress warm!
