Welcome Sadie!

Well, after all those recent maternity sessions I've done you knew this was coming!  I'm super excited to introduce Sadie!!  This little lady is the daughter of my niece, so I think this makes me her grand aunt.  I'm not sure....but it does make me sound old...which I refuse to accept...ha ha!

Sadie was so awesome to photograph.  She slept through the entire session and endured all the prop and costume changes like a super star.  I had a ton of help during this session from my beautiful sister-in-law Sandi, and my ever patient daughter Hannah.  It was a long, hot session, but so much fun, and an incredible family memory we will all get to share.

And look how beautiful she is! Congratulations Nikayla and Joel!

Welcome to the world, and to our family Sadie!

I'm so excited to share these images with you!!  This beautiful little girl is Bryn, and these images of her were taken way back in the early 2000's.  This was back in the days when I used to do portraits of babies and children.  I was just getting started on my own as a portrait photographer and this little lady was my favorite model.  I actually photographed her, and her brother, several times over the years, but these are my favorite images of her.  They were shot on black and white film and the prints were sepia toned and hand colored.  These are scanned from the original photos, so the quality here isn't super great, but you get the idea.  And check out those eyelashes!!

I also used to babysit Bryn, and I have some very cute video of her and my daughter all curled up together on my couch, wrapped in blankets, watching Telletubbies. Oh my, how the time has flown by!! Now this cute little girl has grown into a beautiful young woman, and I just photographed her high school graduation portraits!!   I can't wait to share those with you as well, so check back soon.

Behind the Scenes with Amira

It's been quite a few years since I've done any baby photos, so my recent session with Amira was a rapid refresher course.  I've forgotten how much energy those little ones have!  And it wasn't just me...even Hannah, who helped me with the session, was exhausted after it was finished!   We both had fun though, and are pleased with the photos.

Hannah took some behind the scenes photos for me so I could share them here.  Too bad she didn't get one of all of us dancing the salsa!

Happy 1st Birthday!

I can't believe it's been a whole year already since this little lady came to see me for her newborn photos.  She's a real cutie pie, and quite a character too.  She likes snacks, cats, books, her daddy's glass case, her mom's belly buton, and dancing to salsa music.   We had quite a fun time photographing her.

Welcome Amira!

I got to meet Amira today.  What a beautiful little lady!  Again, I've learned that newborn sessions are a lot harder than they look, but oh my goodness...holding that precious little baby was such a treat that I'd do it all over again tomorrow. These are my favorites from the session so far.
